Work Values Inventory (Simplified)

Work values are the things you need from a job to feel motivated and satisfied — the reasons why work feels good (or drains you). They’re different from interests (what you like doing) and skills (what you’re good at). Values guide choices, trade-offs, and when to stay or leave. They can change as your life changes.

Find which work values matter most to you: Achievement, Independence, Recognition, Relationships, Support, Working Conditions.

Instructions
  • 24 short statements. Choose how important each is to you (1–5).
  • Think about the last few months of work or study.
  • There are no right or wrong answers.
